M&D, Jingle (0:07)
When creating the stop-motion logo treatment for this iconic toy company, we took one of their equally iconic Melissa & Doug toy pianos and created a catchy jingle, then capped it off with a child’s giggle. Contagious!

M&D, Sound Track 1 (1:00)
Once again, we used the actual toy instruments created by Melissa & Doug to score this sound track used for over 100 product videos.

M&D, Sound Track 2 (0:49)
This is a second sound track we did for Melissa & Doug, once again using toy instruments. To create both the sound track and the jingle I worked with former heavy metal guitarist Noah Manheimer… who knew!!

DOCUMENTARY
“Silent Voices, Goldfish” (7:00)
My inspiration for this soundtrack was simply an image in my head of a child, sitting alone, staring out the window… pensive, sad. But suddenly the child’s life is filled with hope, happiness and love. This music tells the story of that transition. It reminds me of something I once heard… a goldfish only has a three-second memory. This was the first of many sessions working with "Harlem Parlour Music Club”. Client - Children’s Rights

“Tennessee Pearl” (14:25)
I worked with the amazing “Harlem Parlour Music Club” to take my simple piano melody and transform it into this haunting score. It’s a compelling soundtrack to the equally compelling story of abused and neglected children in Tennessee’s child welfare system, and the saintly woman, Pearly Cash who saved them.

“TreShawn P.” (6:40)
The story of TreShawn, who was nearly starved to death by his foster parents in New Jersey, is an important one (and Oprah thought so too after she watched our video) so I worked with Grammy-winning Jazz Trumpeter, Shunzo Ohno from Japan, Brooklyn Bassist Arthur Sadowsky, Percussionist Carlos “GoGo” Gomez, and Brooklyn Rapper Orlando “Zeps” Molina. “We Are One” (6:10)
For this score I needed a combination of melody, and musical accents for important moments in the story. I worked with the amazing guitarist, and singer-song writer Wayne Isaak on this and he was brilliant. PS… wait for it at the end! Client - Children’s Rights

“India” (5:19)
When working in India, a group of the young girls I was just about to shoot (all child brides, sadly) broke out in song. The resulting score was inspired by that melody. This was the first of several amazing collaborations with composer Steven Evanne Heinstein. Client - Center for Reproductive Rights

“Kansas” (6:20)
For “Kansas” I wanted an ominous feel. I shot some heartbreaking stories down in Kansas and the music needed to feel like you were sitting alone at the bottom of a deep well, looking up. Again, I worked with the amazing composer, Steven Evanne Heinstein. Client - Center for Reproductive Rights

“Tanzania” (10:30)
When shooting a women’s rights story in a small village in Tanzania, I was certain that I wasn’t going to make it back home to my own family in one piece. I wanted the music to reflect the danger that existed for me, but more importantly, the peril that all at-risk women and girls of Tanzania experience every single day. Composer, Steven Evanne Heinstein helped me get there with this beautiful piece of music. Client - Center for Reproductive Rights

“Texas” (5:00)
If Ry Cooder and Ennio Morricone had a love child, this would be the resulting music. It’s one of my favorite scores and it really feels like Texas (where I was born) without taking anything away from the important message in the video. Once again, I worked with Steven Evanne Heinstein. Client - Center for Reproductive Rights

“Faith In The Seed” (12:12)
Working again with the brilliant musicians from Harlem Parlour Music Club, we created a beautiful score with a wonderful dose of fantasy to contrast the serious environmental message. Client - Group for The East End
